The remote is intentionally simplified to make it easy to navigate the menu system.

These storyboards link on-screen results with specific actions of the remote.

The Microsoft TV Remote and Interface were designed in tandem as part of a class collaboration (Stanford's ME116/Formgiving) with the Microsoft TV group.

Created with my partner Jonathan, the TV interface simplifies the process of searching for content, using a concept that links on-screen 'circle navigation' with a similarly shaped 'control circle' on the remote.

As the user travels deeper into the structure, greater detail on individual shows is shown, as are short preview clips to eliminate unnecessary navigation.
